Le Domaine Jean Luc VIAUD, ancré dans le vignoble nantais ...
The Domaine Jean-Luc Viaud is to be found at Landreau precisely around the village of la Renouère ; its history is intimately linked to the Viaud family. Jean-Luc is the 4th generation of winegrowers in his family. The three former owners all bore the name « Pierre ». The first name did not reach Jean-luc but what indeed they have in common across generations is a passion for their profession
A precious Terroir!
- made of small hills in the North- East part of the commune of Landreau.
- spread on the South-facing slopes
- consisting of sandy and silty soils on micaschists
In the vines, nine months of indispensible labour!
- To continue tradition of home-made grafting, of pruning vines according to the principles of Guyot nantais,….
- To aim at the production of quality fruit
- To always respect the environment
At the chai, three golden rules
Vinification and the production of wine have to abide by three golden rules
- Technology does not surpass the expression of terroir or grape varieties
- Dry white wines are vinified on their lees in small underground tanks
- Innovations adapt to the various vintages or to the request of customers
